Our Story

How it all started...

In 1847 the congregation of Lancaster Christian Church was first organized.

Expanding the vision...

Almost two centuries later, LCC is still proclaiming the good news about Jesus in our small community. As LCC continues to grow, our vision is expanding to embrace even greater opportunities for impact and outreach. This broader vision is being shaped by a deepening understanding of the needs within our congregation and the surrounding community. With a focus on inclusion, growth, and service, we're reaching beyond our walls to build a stronger network of relationships, creating spaces for people of all ages and backgrounds to connect and grow in their faith. This expansion includes not only a robust kids' ministry but also initiatives aimed at fostering deeper community partnerships, outreach programs, and discipleship opportunities. As the church embraces its role in serving others, there is a growing desire to be a beacon of hope, compassion, and transformation, reflecting the love of Christ in tangible ways.

Where we are headed...

LCC is heading into an exciting and transformative phase, with a clear focus on community connection. As the congregation continues to expand, there’s a strong emphasis on nurturing the next generation through an engaging and vibrant kids' ministry. This initiative is not just about teaching the youth but also about fostering a sense of belonging and spiritual growth from an early age. Alongside this, the church is becoming more actively involved in the surrounding community, seeking opportunities to serve and build relationships. This deeper community engagement reflects a commitment to being a presence of care and support, meeting both spiritual and practical needs.
